Wishing the entire world a SAFE and HAPPY New Year's Eve Celebration.

We are staying home tonight, where it's warm, cozy and safe -- from all the loonies out there behind the wheel, with the pedal to the metal. We'll read about them in the newspaper in the morning.

I plan on sleeping late on New Year's Day.

Merry Christmas!!!

Return of the King is unbelievably FINE! It is truly AWESOME! We are already planning to go see it again on Christmas Day.

My advice: GO SEE IT ASAP!

Flew to Phoenix yesterday to work there all day. It was a very busy day. Flew back to Abq last night. It was a good day for flying. The best part of the whole trip was seeing Christmas lights on houses from the air at night -- very cool.

Middle Earth, here I come.

I am as excited as a 7th grader before the first day of Jr High. We're going to see The Return of the King this evening. It's amazing that we've been anticipating this event for 3 yrs, and now it's finally here! No, I won't be wearing pointy ears or my Elf cloak, but my spirit will be very much a part of Tolkien's Middle Earth as we watch the final installment. However, it won't really be complete until Nov 2004, when the Extended DVD of Return of the King is released. Then, we'll be really happy.

Until then, we'll just have to enjoy tonight's show!!

SNOW!!! SNOW!!! SNOW!!!!!! ! ! !

YES! We have SNOW in our neighborhood this morning!!!! Woo-hoo!! I am ecstatic! I am elated! It's actually starting to look Christmassy in this drought-ridden landscape!

Woke up to around an inch or so, and it's still coming down very lightly. It's so wonderful to have humidity in the air, and have the tree branches & eaves dripping. It was even fun to scrape off the car this morning.

I'm lovin' it!........ let it snow, let it snow, let it snow.........

The ONE - TWO PUNCH ! ! !

Good old Weather Channel. Tonight, they've got Jim Cantore up at Dulles Airport in the thick of a snowstorm. How can you keep from gluing your eyes to the progress of the snowstorms being billed as The 1 - 2 Punch!??!

Wayne got a deal on a DVD this week: "Waiting for Guffman". It was totally relaxing, entertaining and funny, and the soundtrack is really great. What more could you ask for, while eating a gourmet pizza and sipping merlot, at a TV tray in the living room? Not bad.

Well, I just had to Blog about the 1, 2 Punch thing going on at the Weather Channel. Those folks make weather worth watching. I especially like it when they play Pat Metheny Group or Bela Fleck & the Flecktones during the "Local on the 8's". A few times, they've even played The Mermen. Pretty tastey stuff.

OK, time for another sip of merlot.

My favorite website of today is Oetzi

Another sunny dry day in the high desert.............

Yet another week goes by without any moisture. There is a chance of rain showing up on the weather forecast in about 5 days from now. Usually, by the time that day arrives, they've taken the rain out and inserted partly cloudy.

We would dance a jig if we got about a foot of snow for Christmas.
