TOXIC DUST!!!
I had been wondering why I was experiencing symptoms of being "sprayed with bug spray" in my office at work for the past couple weeks. I finally called bldg maintenance to come check it out. It turns out that the air filter in the heater for my office was totally plugged with nasty, evil, green TOXIC DUST!!! The air filter was the wrong filter to begin with. On top of that, it had collected construction dust over the past several months. Then, when the humidity rose the dust would emit fumes when the heater came on. My office was being bombarded with horrible stuff. Thank goodness they are cleaning it all out today.
I really didn't need to lose anymore braincells from that "fumigation", but I guess that's the way it goes sometimes.
At least I am still functioning normally, which is more than some poor folks are able to do after being subjected to toxic substances (either willingly or not).
Just another beautiful, dry day in the high desert. I wish we'd get some more precipitation, like we had last week!

Summer / Winter / Summer / Winter ........flip flop............
Ahhh March! This is the month where cold weather ends and hot weather begins in Albuquerque. Not much "in between" seasonal temps for our change of season. Yesterday afternoon it was 70 deg. Today will be the same. Tomorrow is supposed to be in the 40s. Last Friday was pouring the snow, and by Sunday it was balmy. So it goes, this time of year around Albuquerque.
I'm sure we'll be enjoying our new swamp cooler within a few weeks!

Club Rhythm & Blues is back in action!!!!!
They were closed for several months -- still dunno why. Anyway, Wayne got an invitation to their grand RE-opening from a friend, and it was a very good time. Free h'ors douvres, free champagne, excellent seating, superb waitstaff, and TOTALLY AWESOME BLUES & JAZZ!!!! Yeah!

on a more somber note.....
I used to live in San Mateo County, California. I lived in San Mateo County for over 12 years. Currently, it is the home of the Scott Petersen trial. How very terrible for everyone in the area. I sent an e-mail to some folks I am still very close to there, asking if any of them got called to jury duty on that trial. To my amazement, I got an e-mail reply saying that, yes, one of my friends was called to duty for that trial. They didn't have to serve, but the media circus surrounding that event it totally out of control. Here is the quote from my friend's e-mail about parking near the Redwood City courthouse:
the parking is so bad that at a 24 hr. gym down the
block on Broadway they have rented out 8 of their parking spots to CNN
and Fox for 8,000.00 each per month.
What a sad state of affairs for everyone involved in that unreal, unbelieveable, ungodly situation.
