Whatever happens to strike my fancy at the moment...

We are hanging out where the grass is green, the trees are full of green leaves/needles, the lakes, rivers and streams are running with water, and the air is humid. It is so wonderful to be where the land is green and humid.

Holy Schmoly Canoli!!!!What a full-throttle week!!! Our carpet was just cleaned this afternoon, and all our furniture is either out in the backyard, on the patio, or in the garage. Wow! What a difference a houseful of empty rooms makes -- and clean carpet.

Heading out to the Isotopes game. It starts in less than an hour. I guess we will be late, or right at the stroke of 7:11 first pitch.

Slammin' Isotopes Ale, HERE I COME!!!

Wow! Blogger has a new front end & user interface! I hope this gets posted OK.

Talk about EYE CANDY!!!! Hugh Jackman is a real looker, no doubt about it! His looks and stage presence are definitely one of the main attractions of Van Helsing for me! Woo-hoo!! I was also totally captivated by the comic sidekick portrayed by one of my LOTR faves, David Wenham. His VH character, Carl the Friar, is a far cry from the grim-faced, determined Faramir, he brought to life so well in LOTR. (Hey, Kate Beckinsale is great eye candy for the guys, too!) :) :)

If you want a couple hours of fast-paced adventure, and really great visuals, I say "go check it out".

Maybe it's just me, but there is something terribly liberating about executing the Format C: command.

I'm reformatting the hard drive on a very nice Dell Dimension 4100 that someone obviously performed Frankenstein experiments on. The poor thing is a really nice 1G PIII machine. The CD-ROM was frozen shut from dirt. The floppy drive was so full of dirt it could barely run, and the CD-RW won't write anymore. I gave it a new network name while working on it -- TRASHED.

Well, it's all wiped clean, now! at least the hard drive.

Gonna start fresh and new with this one.

Let's Go ISOTOPES ! ! ! ! !

Woo-hoo! Yesterday afternoon's game at Isotopes Park was about as good as it can get for a baseball fan: sunny blue skies with a few puffy white clouds, occasional mild breezes, game temps in the mid-70s!!! Very mellow crowd of 8200+ Sunday afternoon fans.

A GRAND SLAM by the home team in the first inning set the tone for the entire game! Our $8 seats were in the 4th row down the first-base line. It was "Little League" day at the park, and we sat near about a dozen of those little guys -- all of them with their mitts ready to catch a foul ball. They were quite well behaved for that age group.

The beer was cold, the pizza was hot, and MJ's super chicken nachos were awesome.

We walked all the way around the entire ballpark, and ended up eating our pizza in the shade at the top of the upper deck behind 3rd base. We also sat for a few plays out in the grassy area behind centerfield, then also in the picnic zone out from the 3rd baseline. There just isn't a bad seat in the entire house!!! We love that stadium!

Final score: Abq Isotopes 12, Iowa Cubs 2.

GO 'TOPES!!!
