Here is a picture of Wayne's cousin's workshop in Pensacola.
They are just starting to get power back in some locations. Our thoughts and prayers are with them during this time of hardship and rebuilding their lives.
We are thankful to have our roof over our heads and our A/C working tonight.

Sad but true: I think it's time for Morten Andersen to retire.

For the rest of my life, I will always remember where I was and what I was doing on Sept 11 when the WTC Towers were destroyed. I was just putting on my makeup and listening to our fave Santa Fe radio station (KBAC Radio Free Santa Fe) when I heard Sam ("the highly caffienated morning show") saying something about "towers burning..." I told Wayne to turn on the TV and see what Sam was talking about. Wayne & I stood in front of our little TV in the kitchen, gape-mouthed and horrified at the scene before us: one of the towers burning horribly, then suddenly a jet plowed into the second tower. How could this be happening in NYC... in America?
I pray to God that none of us will ever have to relive, or become victims of, a horror like that ever again.

Well Holy Moly. We just keep experiencing nice people in Lawrence. It's just amazing that so many nice people are all in one place. We're glad to be part of this nice place in Kansas.
It may not seem like much to blog about, but it's a big deal to us. Nice people, nice town. Lucky us.
The weather has been really nice the past week or so. Nice and cool at night; not too hot in the day. It's supposed to heat back up this weekend, but we can't complain.
OK, I better go watch some NFL.
