Happy Mother's Day, Velma & Edwina!!!! *~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*
A record LOW was set in Lawrence, KS last night!! It got down to 41 deg! I am thoroughly enjoying the cooler temps -- much for comfortable for doing just about anything -- no need to run the heat or A/C!
We visited Clinton Lk State Park yesterday afternoon, and hiked around there until after 7pm. It was a perfect hiking day -- sunny & slightly breezy. We got some good pics, which I will post to my Flickr page at some point in the future.
Our day pass is good until 2pm today, so I think we're heading back out there in a little while. Ya-hoo!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY COURTNEY!!!!!
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ The insurance adjuster just got here to inspect our roof for hail damage. He is a very nice fellow from Beaumont, TX named Colby. They just don't come any nicer than this gentleman. He said he was in Lafayette, LA to see his granddaughter "tumble" when Farmer's Ins. called him to come up to the KC area to do hail inspections. That was almost a month ago. He predicts he will still be here come Memorial Day! He is taking it all in stride, and it's a pleasure to deal with someone who obviously enjoys their work and life so very much. We'll see how it goes with the roof....
