Back from our vacation!

Happy 4th of July fireworks!!! Woo-Hoo!!!
We saw an awesome fireworks display at Branson Landing on Thurs nite, then another unexpected bunch of displays from neighbors' backyards on on Fri nite in Yates Center. Wow!!! Five or six differents groups blasting off all around town. It was totally cool!!

I'm so happy I just have 1 more day of work this week, then we are on vacation the rest of the week! Woo-hoo!

It was a quite nice day, full of sunshine and fresh Monroe Co air. We enjoyed a tastey lunch with my oldest brother, Bill, at the Kalico Kitchen in Union WV. Very tastey indeed!!

Indian Creek flows through Monroe Co, and it was at it's sublime best this afternoon. We enjoyed practicing our championship rock skipping across the rippling waters, in the sunshine and breezes, along the banks of that very special creek.

Finally, a late evening buffet that has just what I like to eat:
Baked Chicken, homemade mashed potatoes, beef gravy, green beans, mac&cheese, scrambled eggs, sausage, bacon, and homemade biscuits!! YUM!!! For dessert, I ate another biscuit with honey on it. Everything on that buffet line was fresh, hot and incredibly tastey. I was shocked at how yummy everything was. We will probably try to stop in Frankfurt, KY again sometime, and have the buffet dinner at Shoney's.
